About Us
GANNON MEN'S INNER CLUB – LARRY GANNON GOLF COURSE
Founded in the 1950s, the Gannon Men's Inner Club was established to provide dues-paying members with a dedicated, structured organization focused on tournaments, competitions, and organized play—fulfilling the competitive needs of serious golfers at the course.
Today, the club is led by President Bob Cross, who also serves on the seven-member Gannon Building Association (GBA). The GBA oversees clubhouse operations, business activities, and overall management of the facility (a non-profit group that has played a key role in the course's success since taking over operations from the city in the early 1980s).
The Men's Inner Club remains separate from public golf operations while complementing them—helping keep the membership organized, engaged, and thriving. With approximately 350 members each year, the club offers four distinct playing groups to suit different schedules, skill levels, and preferences:
-
Mic-Mac Group — The classic "dew-sweepers," teeing off right at opening to beat the crowds.
-
McKee Group — Early risers teeing off between 6:30–8:00 a.m. on weekends and holidays.
-
0 to 15 Group — Geared toward lower-handicap players seeking competitive rounds.
-
Blue Moon Group — Late-morning starters for a more relaxed pace.
This flexible structure lets members choose tee times that fit their lives while fostering camaraderie and variety—playing with different partners each week for fresh matchups, fun competition, and lasting friendships. Win or lose, the emphasis is on enjoyment and community, making the Inner Club a cornerstone of the Gannon experience for generations of golfers.
